Built from Real Construction Experience
Genera Systems is being developed from the perspective of a construction project manager with academic training in construction project management and BIM, combined with more than 20 years of real site experience.
Founder Background
The platform is being developed by a construction project manager with a BSc in Construction Project Management, a Master’s degree in BIM, and more than 20 years of site experience.
That combination matters. It means the software is being shaped not only by technical ambition, but by a deep understanding of how construction projects behave in reality — on site, under pressure, with constraints, sequencing issues, logistics challenges, and constantly changing conditions.
Academic Foundation
Built on formal knowledge of construction project management, planning systems, and BIM methodology.
Site Reality
Grounded in real construction experience, not only software theory or abstract optimization research.
Long-Term Vision
Focused on building a serious construction decision engine, not a generic planning dashboard.
Why this platform exists
Construction planning is often treated as a software problem alone. In reality, it is also a site problem, a logistics problem, a coordination problem, and a decision problem.
Most planning tools help teams build schedules and visualize information, but they do not truly optimize the underlying decisions. Genera Systems is being developed to address that gap.
The goal is to create a Construction Decision Optimization Engine that improves schedules through mathematics while remaining grounded in how projects are actually delivered.
Guiding Principles
- Built for real projects, not only theoretical models
- Grounded in site experience and practical construction management
- Focused on mathematical optimization, not AI hype
- Designed to encourage better decisions, not enforce rigid workflows
- Structured for long-term integration of risk, resources, buildability, and BIM
- Intended to evolve into a complete construction decision platform
Current Development Stage
The current prototype already demonstrates genetic algorithm optimization of project duration, preservation of scheduling logic, and Gantt-based comparison between baseline and optimized schedules.
Development is now focused on improving runtime, scaling toward 10,000-task schedules, and expanding the engine into broader risk-aware and buildability-aware planning.
The direction ahead
The long-term ambition is not simply better schedule software. It is a new planning category where mathematical optimization supports decisions across time, sequencing, risk, mitigation, resources, and delivery logic.
Genera Systems is being built to reflect the complexity of real construction, while giving planners a computational engine capable of exploring better outcomes than manual planning alone.
